Terroir is the key to the uniqueness of our wines and to their astonishing diversity.
The Burgundy wine region is defined by its Climats which are individual vineyard plots possessing their own history and geological and climatic characteristics. The Vigneron or wine grower works the land to respect this heritage and the natural environment or Terroir.

“To make great wine,
you need beautiful grapes.”

At Domaine d’Ardhuy the produce from each plot right from the harvest through to the bottling is handled with the utmost care and respect.

Our wines are fermented in small vats even when they come from larger plots as this means we can tailor-make the vinifications to suit the quality and phenolic ripeness of the grapes.

Our philosophy is to allow the Terroir of each plot in our wide range of appellations, from Bourgogne Côte-d’Or up to Grand Cru, to express itself through the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes and produce balanced wines which combine crisp, fresh fruit and body.
