Bourgogne Pinot Noir
Cistel

The fresh burst of red fruits. Smoothness and immediate pleasure. A classic that's always on point, accessible, and true to Burgundy.

Tasting notes and pairings

This wine, with its beautiful ruby red color, reveals a nose characteristic of its grape variety: aromas of small red and black fruits with light spicy notes. On the palate, its supple structure and freshness make it easy to pair with a charcuterie board, a pizza, a barbecue or even a tomato and old-fashioned mustard tart.

Our Vineyard

This 100% Pinot Noir Bourgogne comes from grapes harvested in southern Burgundy.

  • Etymology

Along with the winegrowing monks of Cluny, the monks of Cîteaux made Burgundy a unique wine region in the world, combining a constant search for excellence in expertise with the notion of local wine ("terroir," "climate," "clos"). This wine is a tribute to the meticulous work carried out by the monks since the 10th century. Cistel takes its name from the Latin cistellum, meaning "reed." At the time, Cîteaux was a sparsely cultivated area where reeds grew in abundance.
