Vincent Bottreau, the driving force

As a Burgundian from the 1976 vintage Vincent naturally lives and breathes wine. He enjoys a certain art de vivre, matching food and wine at a good table in good company.
In his first career however, he was a brilliant telecoms engineer. But life changed for him in 2010 when he stumbled across the world of vines and wine almost by chance. He hasn't left it since.
Thanks to his drive he worked his way up gaining experience in several renowned estates. In early 2017, he became Domaine d'Ardhuy's Régisseur (manager and winemaker) and set about giving the estate a new dynamic.
COLLECTIVE COMMITMENT
He rises to challenges and is not afraid of committing himself. He is an active member of several organizations, including the winegrowers’ association CAVB (where he heads up the legal department) and the Burgundy Wine Board BIVB (member of the Technical Commission). His scientific background gives him a keen ability to analyze and “modelise” systems.
In just a few years, Vincent has managed to strike a balance between serving the interests of the d'Ardhuy family and letting his emotions speak for themselves in the making of our wines each vintage.
Vincent is a man of convictions but also a good listener. With the help of a dedicated team he has supported the Domaine in all its challenges: adapting to climate change, attracting and retaining new customers with the making of exceptional and surprising wines, and of course pursuing the never ending quest for excellence in each and every one.
Appointed co-manager in 2019, he heads the Domaine by implementing the decisions of the Board, at the service of the d'Ardhuy family.
