Etymology
At Savigny-lès-Beaune, this large plot borders the road to Beaune, not very far from the river Rhoin and below Les Hauts Marconnets and Bas Marconnets where a spring flows abundantly. Their soil is humid and marshy. Its name is derived from old French Pol (pond or mire).
