Etymology
At Pommard, this climat neighbours the lieu-dit Frémiets at Volnay, which goes up a little higher on the slope. Their name may have the same origin even if not the same spelling. We suppose that these plots belonged to members of the Frémy family who in 1892 owned plots at Pommard in the lieux-dits then called: “Es Noizons”, “En Monpoulain” and “Les Chazeaux”.
